SPECIAL SESSION E-12
LAYERED AND FUNCTIONALLY GRADED MATERIALS

A number of high quality scientific papers were presented at the Special Session E-12 organized by LGM-AS in the frames of CIMTEC 2006. Papers were grouped in three sub-sessions devoted respectively to the processing of graded and laminated materials, to their properties and to FGM products and applications.

Invited papers were presented by A. Rogachev (Russia Federation), O. Van der Biest (Belgium), Chang-Chun Ge (China), M.P. Dariel (Israel), J.G. Heinrich (Germany), Jae-Ho Jeon (Korea), Jing-Feng Li (China), J. Moore (USA) and Fumio Watari (Japan).

A selection of the papers presented at the Special Session has been included in the Official Proceedings of CIMTEC 2006 produced by Trans Tech Publications, Swiss, on behalf of Techna Group, Italy.
